Yellow-Banded Poison Dart Frogs (Dendrobates leucomelas) are also known as Bumblebee Poison Dart or Poison Arrow frogs. Their bright colors serve as warning labels for predators, distinguishing them as a poisonous meal. The frogs live in the understory of the rainforests of Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Guyana. They range in size from 1-2 inches. During breeding season the male buzzes, hums, chirps and trills to attract females
